In 2026 Queensland Mens Masters Committee have implemented a trial selection policy for players who wish to nominate in the 34s and 39s Queensland teams.
Based on feedback that players currently playing at high levels would like to play in the best possible competitions that match their current skill level and to try an attract players who have high level experience we are trialling a new selection policy for the 34s and 39s.

PLEASE BE AWARE
As per the Master's Policy you can only nominate for one age group and you will not be considered for any another age group including your eligible age group. This means if you are not selected in the Division 1 team for the age group you nominated for you will only be conisdered in the Division 2 team in the age group in which you nominate. You WILL NOT be considered for the Division 1 or 2 teams for any other age group including your normal age group.
The intention of the change in policy is about attracting and retaining high quality / elite level players into Masters Hockey. It is not intended for all players.
It is a trial for 2026 only and we will see if it has any impact on nominations.
