In 2027 the Queensland Mens Masters Over 60's Carnival turns 14. The venue for this very popular event is the Ipswich Hockey Association

If you were born in 1967 or earlier then you are eligible to participate (ie you are turning 60 in 2027 or older). Priority will be given to 64+ age group as its a selection event for the 64, 69, 74, and 79 Queensland Men's Masters Teams.  

Every player will receive a Souvenir T-shirt in their team colours which will be used as a playing shirt. 

 LENGTH:  Lay your favourite T shirt out flat without stretching and measure from the high point of the shoulder to the bottom of the garment.    

The format of this Carnival will again be substantially different from normal State Championships for the other age groups.

1. Players will register for participation in the carnival by completing the online form and paying the required playing fee.
2. Teams will then be formed from these registered players based on an equal distribution of age, playing ability and field positions.
3. There will be no winners trophy etc and therefore there will be no technical benches.
4. The State Selectors for the Over 64, 69, 74, 79 State Teams will be present. NOTE THE OVER 59s STATE SELECTIONS WILL HAPPEN AT THE STATE TITLES IN TOOWOOMBA 30 APRIL to 3 MAY 2027. Over 60s PLAYERS SHOULD PARTICIPATE AT THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS IN A TEAM IN THE OVER 54 COMPETITION.

The aim of the weekend is to have a great time and enjoy playing hockey with friends.

The format of the weekend:

Friday  11 June 2027  - Time 6:30 PM "Welcome Dinner". This cost is included in your registration fee. At this dinner you will discover your team for the weekend, receive your souvenir playing shirt and your game times for the next day.

Saturday  12 June 2027 - Games commence at a time to be decided (depending on the number of teams that are formed)

Saturday 12 June 2027  - OPTIONAL BBQ available  at the Hockey Club.  This would be a Steak Burger for $12.  Purchase and order over the counter. This cost  is NOT included in your registration.

Sunday 12 JUne 2027  - Games continue and will conclude, depending on the number of teams, approx.4pm followed by the announcement of the Queensland Over 64, 69, 74 and 79 teams for 2027.

COST AND NOMINATION DETAILS:

Sorry, but there can be no late registrations as the Souvenir Playing Shirts have to be ordered in sufficient time for the Carnival.

• STEP 1 - Your first step is to become a Registered Member of Hockey Qld Men's Masters. If you play Club Hockey simply Renew by Clicking Here. If you don't play club hockey you will need to Register by Clicking Here. 
• STEP 2 - RSVP you MUST complete this form AND pay your player levy. 
• STEP 3 - Pay your invoice. Your registration will not be accepted until the money has been received in the Qld Masters Account.
• You will receive confirmation of acceptance of your registration by email.
• Cost of Registration is $TBA (GST Included)  (this includes the Welcome Dinner, All games, Souvenir Playing Shirt, Umpiring Costs,  and First Aid provision - there will be a qualified First Aid person in attendance for all games). PLEASE NOTE - the BBQ Sat night is NOT included - you are welcome to purchase a steak burger at the canteen.
• Partners are welcome and the cost for them is as follows: Dinner Friday night: $TBA 

Please note this registration is NOT a Nomination form for a Qld Team in 2027 – you need to go to the Nominations Page and complete the required information to be considered for a Qld Team. Nominations open 1 January  2027.
