Registrations for the 2019 Over 60 Carnival in Hervey Bay are due now as registrations close on Sunday 3 March.
The Over 60 Carnival will be held from Friday 5 April to Sun 7 April. All players born in or before 1959 r are eligible to participate.
Because every participant receives a souvenir shirt which is used as a playing shirt, registrations must close on Sunday 3 March 2019.

WANTED,WANTED,WANTED BY MARCH 1
Qld Masters are looking for nominations for Selectors, Managers and Coaches for Qld teams travelling to Bunbury/Busselton in Sept 2019.
The closing date for Nominations is March 1.
To nominate for one or some of the positions please see below:
SELECTORS: Send an email to the Secretary@qldmensmastershockey.com outlining your experience/qualifications for the position and indicating your first and second choice of age group you wish to select and the Championship you will be attending. It is Qld Mens Masters policy that selectors only choose players from outside their own age division.
COACHES: Send an email to the Secretary@qldmensmastershockey.com outlining your experience/qualifications for the position and indicating your preferred age group, the Championship you will be attending, and whether you will be a playing or non playing coach.
MANAGERS: Send an email to the Secretary@qldmensmastershockey.com outlining your experience/qualifications for the position and indicating your preferred age group.

Following the National championships each manager is expected to complete a confidential report indicating successes and problems encountered with the team and in carrying out the role. On submission of this report and provided that the responsibilities of the role have been satisfactorily completed a small payment of $400 will be made in appreciation of your contribution to the team and to Qld Mens Masters.
NOTE - All managers must be non playing as per tournament rules.
NOMINATIONS FOR PLAYERS FOR QLD TEAMS TO TRAVEL TO BUNBURY/BUSSELTON ARE NOW OPEN
In 2019 the Australian Championships will be held in West Australia at Bunbury/Busselton.
Nominations are needed for players in all age groups to represent Qld at these championships:

Please note the due dates for each age group.
When you nominate you will receive a confirmation email and if you check HERE you can see the names of the other players nominating in your age group. Please check that your name appears on the list. ( Allow a few days after your nomination for this to be updated as it is done manually.)
Exemptions: If you are unable to attend your relevant age Championship but still want to be considered for a Qld team, you must send a letter to the Secretary of Qld Mens Masters - Secretary@qldmensmastershockey.com explaining in detail the reasons you cannot attend the championships and ask for an exemption. You will be advised of the result of your request and your name will be listed on the website as having applied for an exemption.
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2019
The 2019 National Championships will be held in Bunbury/Busselton in WA. The dates are as follows: Sat 28 Sept for two weeks. As in past years the younger age groups will conclude after one week while the older groups will continue for the full two weeks.
The exciting news is that Qld Masters has managed to pre book accommodation for all Qld teams. The resort in Busselton is called Äqua Resort" - check out their website www.theaquaresort.com.au to see this very upmarket venue.
All the Qld teams can be accomodated at this venue which is a huge advantage for team spirit - BBQ's, Team Meetings, Transport, Morning Walks, Pool use etc. Those who can remember staying in accommodation with all the qld teams can vouch for the fantastic advantages this brings.
AQUA RESORT BUSSELTON

As well as offering luxury accommodation we also provide world class resort facilities such as the 25 metre infinity lap pool, a well equipped gymnasium, steam room, outdoor spa, full size tennis court, stand-up paddle board, bike hire and complimentary stretch and movement pilate classes (school holidays periods only).
Qld Masters have managed to get a great deal on this resort by booking in bulk and the savings have been passed on to you the players.
The resort has 5 bedroom and 4 bedroom options available for share accomodation. Cost per night is $110 per person. This is based on a minimum of 2 people per bedroom so where there are King beds only these will be allocated to players with partners.
There is a minimum of 3 bathrooms (some with 4) per apartment and all have laundry and full size kitchen facilities
Eg. If you bring a partner it will cost you $220 per night. If you bring 2 kids as well that’s $440 per night.
For those who do not want to live in share accomodation there are 2 bedroom and 1 bedroom apartments available. If they are booked and confirmed at the same time as the group accomodation they are $390 and $300 per night respectively. If you would like this option please advise Qld Mens Masters at firstname.lastname@example.org prior to 30 June 2019. There is limited numbers of these options so it’s first in first served.
Everyone will need to confirm their accomodation by 30 June 2019. Once confirmed you will liable to pay the amount owing for your booking. No exceptions including for injuries. Failure to pay will result in being declared unfinancial with Queensland Hockey. You will receive an invoice from Hockey Qld and the payment will be made directly to them.
Failure to confirm by 30 June 2019 will result in rooms being cancelled and you will be required to book and pay alternate accomodation yourself.
Players are advised to take Travel Insurance to cover the possibility of being unable to travel to these championships after your booking has been made.
STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS 2019
Nominations for Teams to particiapte at the State Championships in 2019 are now open.
These championships will be held in Maryborough on 1/2 June 2019.
These championships will be held in Ipswich from May 3 - May 6 2019. This is the May Long Weekend and games will commence Fri evening and conclude on Monday.
